NuGO, Viome, Nestlé, Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, CAS, By-Health gather in Shanghai for the international personalized nutrition summit 2020

These days, as the health industry continues to advance and innovate, it's become obvious that the mass-market approach with its "one-size-fits-all" model has largely been unable to meet the "individualized" and "differentiated" demands of health-conscious consumers. Where will the tides of the nutrition and health industry flow? Many predict that personalized nutrition will lead the trend.

On one hand, the market has provided the most obvious signs. According to recent reports, the global personalized nutrition market was valued at US$7.2 billion in 2018 and is projected to reach US$11.5 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 7.03% from 2020 to 2025. From this, we can see that the hype around personalized nutrition is not just empty talk, but a battle among the pioneers of the industry to tackle the real consumer market.

On the other hand, the concept of personalized nutrition has been implemented. In China, the issuance of both the “Outline of 'Healthy China 2030'” and the “National Nutrition Plan (2017-2030)” show how the State Council is officially promoting nutrition and health to the level of national strategy. In the U.S., the Society for Nutrition has identified personalized nutrition as the first of "six priority areas of nutrition science in the 21st century", further confirming the important role that personalized nutrition plays in health management and disease prevention.

To better help professionals working in the fields of nutrition and health understand the development status and innovation trends of the personalized nutrition market, and to also build an informative, responsive and efficient communication platform for participants, Duxes is pleased to announce that the International Personalized Nutrition Co-development Summit (PNCS) 2020 will take place in Shanghai, China from May 28-29.

Right now, the huge global health industry is in the ascendant, and the basics of personalized nutrition have already been formed. Facing a world of unexplored "blue ocean" market areas where opportunities and challenges coexist, traditional enterprises are thinking about how to reshape their brands and use their advantages to capture greater market share.

At the same time, new entrants are constantly moving forward in the process of attempting to find opportunities to attract consumers. With fierce competition in the personalized nutrition market, how do "old players" gain a foothold? How do "new players" stand out? What are the opportunities and challenges in the industry that need to be addressed? Industry leaders and experts will gather at PNCS 2020 to answer each of these questions, and more.
